Hoff Geotechnik is an international geotechnical contractor with a primary focus on design, supply and installation of rockfall hazard mitigation, slope stabilization, limited access drilling and underground support.

We operate primarily in Africa and with our corporate office based in Sacramento, California, USA.

Our services cover SADEC countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Mozambique, Angola, DRC and Zambia. In the West Africa our services cover Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Ivory Coast. 

Hoff Geotechnik was established in 2016, originally as a geotechnical consulting company by civil and geotechnical engineers. Since 2016, Hoff Geotechnik has successfully completed many complex projects for a number of clients, ranging from private developers to public infrastructure and top-tier mining companies. We are the prefered supplier by most top-tier mining companies in southern and west africa. 

Hoff Geotechnik is a leading service provider for design, supply and construction of rockfall hazards mitigation, slope stabilization and limited accesss drilling for mining and civil engineering.

A key distinguishing feature of our service offering is that we have unique and innovative construction and drilling methods. Hoff Geotechnik is able to install rockfall hazards mitigation and slope stabilization systems on areas with limited access by conventional means such as scaffolding and/or crane. In conventional rockfall hazards mitigation and slope stabilization projects ground anchors are drilled from a natural ground platform. With our innovative methods, and for projects with limited access; ground anchors are drilled from suspended platforms (Up to 500m below ground surface). Therefore, our methods are suitable for conditions where conventional methods have failed; this includes difficult topography, tight spots or deep excavations such as mine box-cuts, underground mine access portals and vertical shafts.  

Hoff Geotechnik is experienced in undertaking complex projects requiring unconventional designs, drilling and construction procedures. We are accustomed to working for clients with stringent safety and environmental procedures. We have been privileged to work mostly with blue-chip clients. 

Hoff Geotechnik has successfully completed multiple challenging projects with a clean safety records. This include zero lost time injuries and zero first-aid cases in a period exceeding 8 years. 

Hoff Geotechnik works directly with all major mining companies, public infrastructure companies, property developers; and as sub-contractors to construction companies. We also work in partnership with other geotechnical contractors and consultants.
